THE PROCESS: the step-by-step creation of your customized astrological chart

A customized piece of art is all the more special when the step-by-step process of its creation is documented.  With the purchase of each of my hand-drawn astrological charts, you, as the client, will be very much involved in its creation.  Here is the usual process I follow in creating your individualized horoscope.  Also, keep in mind, because each piece is completely unique, the process of your art can be negotiated otherwise.

1.  I am contacted by personal email @ alma.alchemista@gmail.com, on Facebook, or through my Etsy Store @ https://www.etsy.com/shop/AlmaAlchemista.
As soon as possible (usually within 24 hours) you will receive the following email:

Thank you for your interest in my art!  Each piece I create is completely unique and customized to your desires.  Please send the information listed below so I can envision the perfect horoscope for you.  If you really like one or two particular pieces from my websites, just send them to me and we can start there.

You can look at examples at  https://www.etsy.com/shop/AlmaAlchemista/ or
http://www.pinterest.com/almaalchemista/alma-alchemista/ or
almaalchemista@blogspot.com or

Please send me the following: names (as you want them on your chart), birthdates, times, locations;as well as the  size of chart you would like, how many circles you want in the design, and background motif. Let me know if you want any special symbols or sigils included.  Let me know if you do not want the actual name on the piece.  The following prices are standard per piece, however, everything Is negotiable.

8 x 11": 40
11 x 14": 80
18 x 24": 95

Adding color, gold highlighting, or antiquing is an extra 10 dollars. You can choose your own template (layout : number and placement of circles), background motif/theme, and horoscope type: tropical (western), sidereal/lahiri ( eastern/ vedic, chinese), or BOTH.

Each chart includes a 6-9 page written explanation of the horoscope. It can be sent to you either in a tube (rolled) or flat.  I do NOT send glass through the mail, so framing is up to you. The easiest form of payment for me currently is a personal check via USPS.

Please email me with any questions you have.  Thank you again.

2.  Once we have communicated via email or phone (if necessary) I will email you a pencil draft of your chart.  Here is an example:

3. We will keep working on the pencil draft until both you and I are satisfied.  Next I will send you an inked drawing WITHOUT your personal information included yet.   If you are happy, it is time to send me some money.  My prices on Etsy are negotiable and I barter very often.  I prefer personal checks in the mail, however, my Etsy store has a credit card option.

4.  Once I have received your money I will fill in your personal information and paint the chart as you have requested.

5.  If you are not personally picking up your chart, I unfortunately cannot frame it for you.  It will arrive in a tube (rolled) or flat, your choice, with a 6-9 page personalized horoscope based on your planetary aspects and house positions.  I recommend sending everything in a tube.  Once you have received your chart I would appreciate if you sent me confirmation of its arrival and your reaction.  I work very hard so that ALL my customers are satisfied.

Here is an example of a chart documented step by step. Enjoy! and contact me soon.

MEDITATIONS WITH THE CRICKETS

I once heard the hardest part of shamata meditation was not dispelling the angry or sad thoughts that arise, but dispelling the brilliant flashes of intellect, those which catalyze a masterpiece of art or literature.  Equanimity is challenging.

I often find myself creating art after long meditation sessions, as a way to channel all the creative energy I have magnetized and accumulated.  This piece, Meditations with the Crickets, was made for and inspired by my husband.  Both of us have a profound love of the wilderness and have experienced deep spiritual communions with Mother Earth and the plethora of gentle animals that grace her fertile realms.  Deeper meditations than in any temple or with any congregation of people.  Trees, birds, foxes, snakes, herons, and all the other plants and animals surrounding us, hold profound messages of wisdom.  We just need to listen.  Thus, I recommend walking and/or sitting meditations among the trees and animals everyday. . .for your mental, emotional, and physical well being.

The crickets are excellent teachers. This drawing represents my connection to these wonderful little creatures.  It is apparent all things are interconnected and thus, Now truly is BLISSVOIDINDIVISIBLE.

If you are interested in a customized piece of art similar to this please message me.

ACHI CHOKYI DROLMA

Mother Achi was the great grandmother of Lord Jigton Sumgon, founder of the Drikung Lineage. To this day she remains a great dharma protector of the Buddha's teachings. Although Achi has a particular committment to protect the Drikung Kagyu, she is recognized and practiced by all lineages of Tibetan Buddhism.

She is the emanation of Vajra Yogini who is the embodiment of the wisdom and compassion of all the Buddhas. She is the divine mother of the Buddhas and manifested out of compassion in the form of the Dakinis of the Five Buddha families. To benefit the beings in samsara, she displays a limitless number of manifestations at different times and in different space dimensions.

At the time of her death, Achi Chokyi Drolma did not pass away in an ordinary manner. She first took her disciples to a huge cave where many sacred and secret items were discovered. Then she offered a tsok feast, and those who partook of that feast achieved many sublime qualities of the Buddhas. Then Mother Achi composed a text containing a sadhana of herself and promised to look after the teachings of the Buddha in general and to protect the essence of the Buddha's teaching that will appear in the future.

With that she said, “My activities through this body have come to an end,” and she flew up to the Buddha Field on her blue horse without leaving her body.
